Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Varjola, my experience was greatly enhanced by the culinary offerings, particularly at Bistro Sylvi. The restaurant's ambiance struck a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort, providing a tranquil setting that complements the natural beauty surrounding the hotel. Breakfast was a delightful start to each day, featuring a wide array of options that catered to various tastes. I was particularly fond of the locally sourced ingredients, which added a fresh touch to traditional dishes. It is evident that the culinary team prioritizes seasonal offerings, allowing guests to indulge in the richness of the region's flavors. Having the on-site bar was an added convenience, allowing for leisurely evenings to reflect on the day's adventures. I enjoyed a carefully crafted cocktail, perfect for winding down after exploring the nearby landscapes. The riverside cabin itself boasted a stunning glass front that offered picturesque views and a comfortable retreat after days spent hiking through the rugged terrain of Greece. Varjola is not just a place to stay; it is a destination for food enthusiasts interested in experiencing Greece's rich culinary heritage alongside its breathtaking landscapes.
